I got given a wee gift from her daddy in the form of a "passenger thrill ride" in a 300bhp rally spec Ford Escort Cosworth recce car (used to McRae to plan his routecards)What can i say? best experience i have ever had on 4 wheels.Chuckin it into ultra tight chicanes with the exhaust crackin and the car sideways. Legs where like jelly at the end of the stage, then he turned round and done it again the other way! Twas ace day out.

Post any comments relating to track day, drag strip or driver training days below peeps

VALUE FOR MONEY
CIRCUIT & AIRFIELD TRACK DAYS

Hi All

The new trackday year is really starting in earnest. To really wake you from hibernation we have a special deal on circuit events. Just telephone 01469 560574 book and confirm both Snetterton (March 18th) and Cadwell Park (March 23rd) before the end of February and get the two events for just £240. Do not forget that includes your first additional driver or passenger. Usual event price £129 each.

Elvington Airfield is proving as popular as ever. Regulars will notice that there has been a slight price increase over last year’s figures. This is because the venue owners have increased the hire fees by quite a substantial margin. However despite us having to pass on that cost to you the customer the news is actually very good. The extra revenue generated by this hire fee increase is being deposited into a track surface repair fund. This speaks for itself and Javelin is wholeheartedly behind the idea as it is something that will benefit us all eventually.

We also have an excellent new venue coming into play on April 2nd at West Raynham Airfield in Norfolk (subject to final planning approval). This venue offers a brilliant 1.5 mile circuit with a very good tarmac and concrete surface. Loads of run off too. We have been working extremely hard behind the scenes for well over a year now to secure its use. Carrying out computer modeled noise assessments etc. All we need now is your commitment to come along and enjoy the fruits of our labour. So send us your provisional booking NOW!!. We need to show the council there is a need for a facility such as this. We will not ask you to confirm until we are 100% certain the event will take place. The noise limit will be Static - 102dB at three quarter throttle at 0.5 metres. Due to past problems created by motorsport we will not be in a position to accept entries from bike-engined cars.

May 14th sees us venturing over the border to East Fortune nr Edinburgh. This excellent hidden treasure of a circuit was brilliant before but will now be even better that the Snake section has been resurfaced. Just off the A1 nr Haddington it is extremely easy to get to and well worth the trip.

All events will be open pit lane format. However all events will incorporate a couple of novice only sessions during the morning. All circuit events will include an extra briefing open to all but primarily aimed at novices and drivers new to the circuit. We want you to get the most out of your day with us.

The Pit Box feature of the new look site is working very well with a couple of cars and engines sold already. It is FREE for Mailing List members to advertise so why not take advantage.
