Doesn't this story crop up every year--that and ones in India.

Hajj: Previous tragedies

2006: 364 pilgrims die in a crush at foot of Jamarat Bridge in Mina

1997: 340 pilgrims are killed when fire fuelled by high winds sweeps through Mina's tent city

1994: 270 pilgrims die in a stampede during the stoning ritual

1990: 1,426 pilgrims, mainly Asian, die in a stampede in an overcrowded tunnel leading to holy sites

1987: 402 people die when security forces break up an anti-US demonstration by Iranian pilgrims

Perhaps, Casper ! London Mosque going up in flames. Largest in Europe. The thoughts are it could have been caused by cooking preparation, rather than arson. Wondering why they cook in a mosque?

They'll just rebuild a bigger one. (I knew that comment would please you, Casper ) smile

I was told yesterday that the muslims took over 2 ferry boats and then paraded along the prom afterwards "a la Orange Lodge". Don't know if this happened or not, does anyone know any different or able to confirm it? Strange times we're living in.
