Hi, Unfortunately I was waiting for someone to fit the new radiator in the bedroom. Until that is done I can't fit the laminate and skirting boards in case they need to pull up the floor boards. I might seek alternative people to fit the radiator as the project needs moving on. It's a bit frustrating having bare floorboards and no wardrobe for two months. I looked at the quality of doors at Howells and a friend has given me details of a joiner who might be able to fit them. Will let you know if I can get things moving. Good luck with your wardrobes!
Ask Gerrymoore to do it, he's a very clever person, he built his own conservatory you know.
Had the doors delivered yesterday..pleased with the result and not a particularly difficult job in the end - especially if you're 'clever' like me :-))
Next job is to build myself a waste oil heater so I'm not cold using in my homebuilt workshop using my self designed CNC plasma cutting machine :-)) (now that is clever!!!)
Thank you LUDWIGVANE it's very, very, kind of you to say so - I'm so glad to be welcomed by you personally in such an unsarcastic way...you must let me know what life is like in middle earth..are you there on your own? I certainly hope not. Anyway don't hesitate to ask for my help with anything ... I am very clever as you already know and appreciate :-))
Thank you Gerrymoore for your kind words, but for the life of me I can't imagine why you would think I was being sarcastic, I genuinely think we are blessed having someone as talented as you obviously are on Wikiwirral. Keep up the good work and pleased keep us apprised of your latest remarkable achievements .
The doors looks great, well done. My ceiling is curved at the edges so I'm bit unsure how to fill them in otherwise I'd be a bit more inclined to have a go myself.
Well after being let down by a joiner who didn't bother turning up or replying to my texts, I've decided with the encouragement of a friend to have a stab at it myself. Honestly it's not been my week after having a muppet fluff up my radiator fitting and wanting to charge more to fix a bad part he supplied, I've finally got someone who knew what he was doing, unfortunately it cost me more to get the bad work repaired. Then this guy wasted my time I'm getting a bit sick of workmen. Still, rant over, can anyone who has fitted sliding wardrobes doors give any pointers as to fitting them. Any tips will be gratefully received.
Sorry Uffda, my question knocked your post of the list, which means someone may miss your request that happens to be more important than mine at the moment. So this post will put you back on top. I hope someone out there can help you. You are a brave woman, doing that on your own.

I`m sure you could ask Gerry Moore for advice directly. He`s done a great job.

Thanks Granny, it's not something I'm very confident of doing but having a nightmare getting workmen to turn up when they say they will. I wish people would just tell me they don't want the work or are too busy - rant over!
Hi Uffda...I found Argyle Mirror doors extremely helpful to me and answered all my questions....however, if you don't feel confident, their fitting charge wasn't too bad, but they were booked up for quite a while. I would certainly give them a ring and have a natter. And no, I do not have any connection with them other than I bought my doors and frames and I was very pleased with their service and quality of product (and price).
Thanks Gerrymorre, funnily enough I'd just got back from Argyle Doors when I saw your post. They were really helpful and gave me the number of their fitter who is coming out for a quote. Depending on what he says, I'll decide whether to take the plunge or let him have the hassle. Thanks for your help and I hope you're enjoying your new bedroom doors.
