Adrian Flux Insurance has added road rage cover to provide compensation
for anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of a road rage assault.

For an extra £13 on all car, bike and van policies, Flux covers personal
accident benefits up to £150,000 for the driver and all passengers including a
cash benefit for hospitalisation, emergency dental treatment costs,
clothing replacement, and up to five sessions of stress counselling.

"There's no getting away from the fact that road rage is unpleasant,"
says Gerry Bucke of Flux. "We've introduced this cover to try to help our
customers through the difficult aftermath of such behaviour."

What's your thoughts?

It's so rare I dont think anyone will go for it, but then again £13 is nothing really is it.

As long as you dont piss every1 on the roads off you shouldnt be a victim of road rage

I have seen people follow people making simple mistakes and getting out there cars, I think road rage is far more common than you think.

I might pay for it if my insurance company offered it.

i kind of road rage, but not in a threatening way to the numpty. I just speed off past them and they get the message that im in a mood.cover for it is a good idea tho,i wouldnt take it myself (especially as flux are a rip off) but its a good idea for people who like to be insured for all eventualities

Unfortunetly I must be a prime example. Many times have I 'chased' wrong doers and even once got them to pull over to apologise to me. If it wasnt for my quick reactions a crash would have been certain, and rather than them 'laughing' it off or merely getting beeped I decide to give a piece of my mind (not a bit piece tho!).

Am slowly calming down so its not such a big a deal but I totally agree with Ax125 - Its alot more common than people realise and no doubt I think someone will say 'Best £13 iv spent in a long time'

BUT

I can see it being abused by the many of 'claim culture' where people will claim for 'Nervousness' and a whole list of injuries mentally just to reicieve some money

I think it is more common than people think.
