Make sure you get something powerful with a good battery life. I've got a Black and Decker one and its pretty rubbish.

Get yourself a GTECH Air ram,absolutely marvellous,it's even excellent at picking up dog hairs.The only drawback is that it doesn't come with tools.

The problem with the Gtech is its not so good in the car cos it doesn`t have tools. My friend recommends the dirt devil hand held.
