WIRRAL patients are being advised to refrain from attending A&E unless it is urgent.

The number of people going to A&E and calling 999 has caused severe pressure on the health service over the last few days.

NHS teams across Wirral are working extremely hard to cope with this demand.

Well how strange that Colchester Hospital sent out the same message last week.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the Inspection by The Quality Care Commission would it. They are around and about at the moment.

If it is, then we can make our own minds up to the real answer for this.

Its the time of year--people switching on their central heating after the summer and all the dust and germs behind radiators circulating.

Even so....rocking up to A and E. I have an intense dislike for those that abuse A and E services....and ringing 999 for non-emergencies.

Not sure of your point Pete_M think Get the Mr/Mrs to drag you outside if you pass out from the heat though- maybe a slap around the chops- to rouse you before you dial 999??

Don't think so , smile loving the heat while it lasts wink was emphasising the point of NOT having to switch my heating on, getting back to point Rudy** A+E do a great job and are stretched to full capacity, not that you would even recognise that>>>> DumbBall!!!

Time wasters should be charged for using A&E :

Drunks
Druggies
Attention Seekers
Silly kids who have kids of thier own ( my biggest gripe to be honest )

See it all the time on facebook. Young girls with kids saying they'll have to go to A&E or the out of hours service because little "tommy" has a cough or little "destiny" is crying because she's teething. Just let them get on with it - NHS can't really help you with that and you're wasting thier time.
