The derelict shops to the left of the no18 garage on king street( Brertons motorbikes?) has collapsed across king street.

I have seen camera phone footage on facebook.

Anybody know any more?

Surprised it wasn't the end one, it's been derelict for years.

That's shocking News ..glad to read the building was derelict and there hasn't been any casualties ,wouldn't like to live in any of the properties to the left or right of the collapsed building !!! Shocking

Thanks for that Mark. The end one has been showing signs of collapse for several years and was bowing badly - but nothing was done about it. Did it fall or was it pushed?

Amazing that nobody was hurt.

... and then luxury apartments get built on it!

I'm sure WBC wait until they are so completely delapidated and either fall down or get burnt out so they can sell the land to developers.

Apparently the Council are saying they inspected the properties only days before - however it was a security inspection not a structural one - and that everything was fine!

A very poor attempt at spin yet once again.
