Europe's largest walk-in Christmas tree to be unveiled at Designer shopping centre
The UK's largest artificial Christmas tree will be unveiled at a north west retail park popular with Merseyside shoppers
McArthurGlen’s Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet will launch its Christmas season with its annual switch on event this Thursday (November 13) when the tree will sparkle with more than 100,000 twinkling lights.
A magical archway makes it Europe's biggest walk-in Christmas tree, giving visitors a chance to see the enormity of it from the inside - plus find a special surprise.
This week's switch-on event will get the Christmas shopping season off with a bang, with fireworks set to music, choirs and festive bands.
It starts at 6pm and visitors are advised to arrive early.

The tree is 90 ft high
It weighs 18-ton
It cost £100,000
The tree features more than five miles of fairy lights
It has 100,000 bulbs
1,000 of those are football-sized red baubles
20,000 are small red baubles
1.2 miles of structural cabling and half a ton of nuts and bolts holds the tree together
