futuristic is the word i think, hopefully the .2 displacement increase will give it some torque,as it developes the same BHP as the last one, prob not as high up the rev range this time tho

I have added some pics into the first post for you matey happy

Heres the write up also....

Quote
This is nearly Honda’s much-anticipated new Civic Type-R. This Type R Concept, to be unveiled at Geneva today by Jenson Button and the head of Honda cars, will see very few changes before it reaches production.

On sale in early 2007 for around £18,000, the Type-R has stuck with the same 197bhp power unit output. But it comes from a new four-cylinder engine. The Civic will be the least powerful car in its class – the Ford Focus ST has 222bhp, the Vauxhall Astra VXR 237bhp – but the Honda will claw back some ground through a lower kerbweight.

Such sophistication does not seem to have extended to the rear suspension, which is torsion beam – as opposed to the independent set-ups of the old Civic and the new Focus ST.

The aggressive bodykit clads the first official viewing of a three-door Civic. More of these bodyshells will apparently be at the London Motor Show in July, around which rumours circulate of a stripped-out Type-RR with more power.

That is so much better than the five door. Gonna be a tough decision, do i buy one of these or a DC5 Integra.

Hmm.

Good point well made Gaz. That 3dr version looks soooo much sexier than the 5dr, I love it.

AX, if it's for looks go for the civic, for speed and handling go for the DC5

The civic type r has always been praised for it's practicality despite being a hot hatch.

My guess is that this will be a similar size inside as the current 5 door.

I actually think the UK civic type r is now a much nicer car than the US Civic SI Coupe.

It looks nice-ish in the pics, but looks absolutely revolting in the cold light of day. I admire honda's approach to making an odd looking car (actually, I don't), but it's rancid.
It looks like it was designed in the 70's as a futuristic car.
