It's an interesting fact that Trinity House looks after navigational aids ashore.There is one such between Fenny Compton and Southam in Warwickshire.It looks incredibly like the Eifel Tower,and is visible for miles around.It used to be part of the Decca Navigation system,couldn't get much farther from the sea. One of it's brothers is in Wallasey.
Great pics - interesting place! Must have looked amazing with the flags flying. Pity there couldn't be some sort of re-enactment of that, but as someone said, the trees are too well grown now.
Didn't someone intend for the land to be developed at one time ?
