There are two parts to the work.
One is converting the former YMCA, the other is new build houses at the rear, including a new road access.
Work stopped over a month ago, with the gates locked and a hole in the road guarded by temp traffic lights. The surface of Manor Rd was eventually reinstated after a few weeks, but with no sign of workers on the houses.
This week there has been a couple of workers in the portacabins outside the YMCA building, but no obvious work on the houses, certainly not like in the early summer.
Were you looking to place a child in the school? Traditionally, Liscard Primary School's catchment area boundary was Manor Rd. This may seem strange, given where the school is located, but the area is the same as when the school was in Egerton Grove, between Liscard Village (road) and Seaview Road. Part of the site is used for council offices and car parking.
I think the catchment area for the South side of Manor Rd. is that of Riverside School, in Egremont.
