Can anyone tell me if they have used Wallrock Thermal Liner and what views they have about it.
Needed for a cold bedroom, with 3 outside walls. One with a window and radiator, one with an electric socket and one with the light switch. Not knowing what it is or how thick, I thought those details might be needed.

Haven't used it granny, but its quite expensive, £39.95 per roll 10m x75cm plus £20.28 for the adhesive, that's at tool station.

Casper is correct, its a lining paper. I would image its polystyrene, 41 years ago when I moved into this house I scrapped this stuff off every room or similar

Have to say the walls did feel warm, didn't feel it was needed once the central heating went in.

Its definitely not the same, Wickes would never be so benevolent to sell anything £30 cheaper.
It might be a cheaper alternative. Wallrock is a bit thicker, 3.2 mm, my concern would be, if you paper over it, what happens when you want to change the paper?
When scrapping the paper off, is the Wallrock going to come off with it?

When we moved into a house in 1979 one of the walls had what sounds similar and it was a nightmare to strip the walls. Just like when you open anything packed in polystyrene, bits go all over the place. I can't comment on how effective it was because the wallpaper covering it was grotesque and had to go immediately.
As regards the bedroom being cold, just let somebody have it that you are not too fond of

Thanks folks. It seemed to be a cheaper option, as opposed to having certain alternatives, of which I'm not even sure some would be possible.

I thought polystyrene was illegal, or is that just those horrible ceiling tiles ?

I think it was the poly ceiling tiles, I remember using some thick ceiling stuff on a ceiling called rosslite rio it was on a roll.

Go on the toolstation site granny, there are some cheaper alternatives, look under painting and decorating.

The cheap thermal lining does come off when you strip but I found I had to use a vacuum cleaner to get most of it off the wall.
