Jesus just stop your moaning and enjoy it for what it is. I've been with my kids and dog and had a really good time there. Having lived on the Wirral all my life it gave an interesting new viwepoint both across to Liverpool and also across Bebington etc.

I remember it when it was a tip, massive improvement. Great to encourage new wildlife etc.

Been there a few times now, the lack of bins is annoying if your dog decides to poo near the summit.

Ive not been when the carparks are open but there has been enough spaces in the little parking bays along Dock Road North.

How do you gain access to the carpark near the water front?

You would need agile people employed to empty the bins, that's if they did employ anyone on the minimum wage. I can see a big queue forming for the job of emptying poo bins for poo money.
Not going to happen, cost to much. People see someone employed to clean, they instantly make a mess to keep that person employed, well it seems like it.

Sam, the lack of bins is down to lack of funds. The park was opened on a tight budget and W.A.S are trying to raise money to improve the park and install bins as soon as possible.

Zipper, the park employs a ranger but is looking for volunteers to assist the ranger. As the park is run by Wirral Autistic Society their funds are restricted

Rocks, they have toilets in the old biffa office next to the picnic area, however these aren't always open. I have heard that they plan on building or converting the existing office but again this is all down to funding and support

Hi. If I want to take someone who cant walk far, is there anywhere to park where they can do an easy walk for a couple of minutes, then sit and take in a view whilst others walk on? Also, I got the impression theres several ways to get at the park. Which is the best one ( rd name or directions please) to suit my purposes?

Hi Venice easy root is Bolton rd east towards the park gate then take a right once inside the park to the car park. There is a lower levels walk with benches ideal for people with reduced mobility. Hope this help

Had a look on Google just now and 'drove ' the orange man down Bolton Rd East but didnt really see anything that looked like a park entrance. Went passed the green hoarding on the left and came to what looked like a dead end at 'PremiAir' on the left and 'Land and Marine' on the right. Did pass what looked like locked gates on the left on the way down on the junction with Eccleshaw Rd ,but it says no trespassers, so I doubt its that. Does seem to be a blip though with Google Earth, it misses a bit between that junction and the green hoarding, so maybe its in the lost bit?

If you look at the image dates at the bottom of the streetview screen, the pictures have been taken on 3 different occasions. The dead end by PremiAir, with the long single storey building, is the oldest (2008). A little further back up Bolton Road East, the low building has been demolished and replaced with the green hoardings (2009), then the newest is where the new housing has gone up where the hoardings were (2012). A lot has changed down there since the 2008 pics were taken! I think the new car park is located on the PremiAir site.
