Where do you start ?????????? I guess the convoy meeting point is as good as any ! Arrived at 6:30 am to get ready for the journey in the Cruisewirral Van with the Scooby Towed behind on the Trailer. Members just kept on arriving in there flocks, 25 - 30 Members, Awesome turnout. Departed at 7:00 am Prompt, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Its off to USC we go.............. The Cruisewirral Van struggled pulling a weight of approx 4 tonnes in total, Average speed approx 60 mph, People just stared and stared at the awesome Convoy, Looking back the convoy was massive, i couldn’t see the end it was that long. Stopped off for breakfast after the M6 Toll road, Yum Yum... Much needed break, The car park was swamped with Cruisewirral cars everywhere you looked. Back onto the M6 to USC......... . Arrived at USC
Arrived at approx 10:30 am, It was looking busy even then, you could tell this was going to be massive. The Heat was awesome, 32 Degrees, Phew...... The security showed us the "Sheep Pen" they had allocated for Cruisewirral, <img border="0" alt="[are u mad]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions050.gif" /> Not quite sure how we all fitted in there ?? Tight squeeze didnt have a look in. We set straight to work, Everyone was hands on setting up the Show Stand, Big Big Thanks to everyone for that. About 1 hour later the Show Stand was up and the show cars all in place, Lookin Real Good........ Time for everyone to set up there own tents (Or Hotels in Tony's Case and Shoe Box in ADE's case, lol) Guide ropes everywhere. I was fortunate to simply inflate my air bed to put in the Cruisewirral Van as i was living/sleeping in there........ Sweet. Once that was all done the BBQ was on the go, Cheers Webmaster, Top Top Cooking once again. I got to work on setting up the P.A. System up to get some quality sounds blasting out...... Before we knew it everything was set-up, sitting back and relaxing with my one and only shandy of the whole weekend (Sad Gimp, I Know) Sun Beating down, Burger batch and soaking up the party atmosphere, Wicked, You had to be there to understand...... .Friday Night
Time for the movies to roll...... I had brought along a Wide screen projector unit and we had 2 Fast 2 Furious Blasting the whole place out followed by Shrek 2 !!!! (Sally's Favourite movie, lol) Sat there until the early hours watching and chilling with everyone, so cool.... .Saturday
Awoke at about 7 bells by Andy's new install, Awesome matey, You don’t understand what it is like to be woke up by some serious I.C.E. in the mornings. I look forward to falling asleep so some crazy member can blast those sounds to wake the whole of Santa Pod up, Betta than a cockerel i tell you.............
Time for a walk about, the temp was 32 Degrees once again, got a great tan !!! I Could have sat and watched the quarter mile all day long, some great carz running up there...... Trade stands selling everything you can think of from key rings to Body kits. Topless dancers, models strutting there stuff, Carz modded to the Maxx sitting on 22's all wrapped in flip ! What an environment.
Quarter Mile Runs
Time to sign on, well, it i could of court the booking office open anyways. They had to keep on closing it as there were so many Carz running on the mile the queues were massive, eventually managed to book in and got in the queue only for the mile to be closed for a hour..... Made it eventually, 1st run was against a MR2 Turbo, I ran a 13.2 sec run and won him, that was too easy.... Decided i needed a little competition so i found a Lancia Intergrale to run against even though i knew he was running 12.2's (I must be mad...) Off we went, done another 13.2 and beat him by about 0.01 sec.... Yippee, Could believe i won him. After talking to him again he missed 2nd gear so i offered another dual (Big Mistake) Off we went again, He won me this time by 0.01 sec's, Not bad considering this time my clutch was slipping its nut's off and the heat was pushing 1000 psi Nitrous (Too Much Nitrous, should be 600 psi) All in all i was hoping to be in the high 12's but the heat got the better of my car, i am sure on a cooler day i could have got into the 12's ??????
Flamer Show
Poor organising once again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eventually 1 hour late it kicked off, The first car went on fire under the rear bumper, Hmmmmmmmmmmmm........ I was second in the running, I struggled to get the flamer kit working correctly for the first half of the show then yippee, Scooby had dual flames (Panic Over) Good finale to finish, I couldn’t see the competition as everyone was allowed to swamp all around the cars and hardly everyone could see the flamer show's (Poor Organising again) Some one from Maxxed Motors whom had allot to do with the USC Event won, didnt look as good as the Scooby off what i could see (What was very little) But i did get a mention (Second Place) Better than nothing i guess !!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday Night
Phew, what a day....... Sat down to banter of the mile with a burger n sun. Chong Time !! As night grew in it was time for the movies once again, Fast & Furious 1 this time, Great to watch and listen to with the wide screen projector and the P.A. System pumping out the sound..... Me B*tch eventually turned up looking great with Danielle (Paz's B*tch) Lookin great also. Ade, Greer206, Mk6 Paul and others turned up also, S.I.D.I. Kindly allowed us to rob some of there club stand area as we simply could not fit everyone in... Tony n Sal's tent filled up with members galore and huge amounts of alcohol to boot, Laugh, well, I popped over briefly and they were all bladdered and having a scream, Great to see everyone enjoying themselves. Time to settle down and get some much needed shut eye in the Van once again, however i had the B*tch's Farts n Burps to keep me awake all night, PMSL.....
Sunday
Time to pack away the Club stand and pack up all the equipment (Believe me, there loads of the stuff) Went for a last look about and then back on our travels home, Great Convoy back home, Such a laugh...............
Summary
All in all i thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed myself, Went off without a hitch. Great weekend, i Carnt remember the last time i enjoyed myself so so much and it wouldn’t have been possible without of the support of the members who attended.
Thank You's . .Paz (Organising, Cheers mate, It wouldn’t have happened without you....and 1/4 mile run)Webmaster (BBQ and organising) Tony n Sal (Food contributions and running here there and everywhere)Maverick (1/4 mile run)Andy (Lighting & Electrical Technician. OMG What a beast of a weekend that was!! Left around 6ish with crevis, gti180 and aggy for our own convoy there. Was quite slow due to traffic, but got there about 8.30 after finding it which was easy thanks to scooby's/webmaster's directions. Met by security who i escaped with my bottles Got to the stand and wow, sorry i weren't there to help set up but everyone who had thanks and you done us proud. Friday night was a relaxed night for me watching the big screen, (did anyone see any other group have anything like this?) once again cw have done the un-thinkable. A big thank you to webmaster for keeping the food on the go and to sally and tony for topping it up. Don't think i would've got up saturday morning if i weren't excited to see what usc was all about. Very impressed in the event, great turnout for us and the event, great stands, great cars, great racing, graet women, great muscic(i was blown away by the redline music stand), great comps and great drag cars. How i resisted not bangin stuff on my credit card i don't kno. Again an evening of laid back food and movies untill i heard about a certain grape fight goin on, the rest of the night was a journey into the andy and rik show. Bit of a sad day sunday, as it was packing up day, went 4 1 last look round the stands and ready to help pack away. Journey home was a laugh. Big thank you's:- webmaster and scooby - do i need to say why sally and tony - food food food andy and rik - entertainment and lighting fellow mods - for the hard work and effort Biggest thank you's in the world:- to everyone who attended!!! Nice to meet you properly:- vikki crevis gti180 aggy corsa john dinky 5 kay holly daz nitro Bring on next years and next huge event. :go: :go:

Wow, wat else can I say, that has not already been said... For a start, what a top weekend. Brillant sunshine, top group of people and what a top event. This was my first time at Santa Pod and my first time on a proper race strip, what fun.. Lots of nice women, some good stalls with good bargins and watching the racing was great. Rocket car (how fast) 6+ secong to do the 1/4 mile. Demo cars 9 seeing them racing each other ) 7+ seconds for them. Me, Paz and Scooby went on, w all set a time to beat next time, but all good fun.. Night time was great, sitting around talking or watching films on the projector, bet the rest of the camp site was jelous. Setup of the club stand was great, our camp site was well lit up thanks to scooby with his genny and Andy sorting out the lights..All in all can't wait for the next one..
And thanks to everyone who came with us for helping out and making this a top weekend...

OK Results time for the competitions..
Best Engine: Andy Smith, Nissan Almera GTi. Andy's gold-plated engine and mirror-finished bonnet left us in no doubt who should win this category.
Best Paint: Simon Johns, Subaru Impreza. Simon's Scooby boasted a stunning piece of airbrushed artwork that went all over the gorgeous metallic blue paintwork including under the bonnet! Hundreds of man-hours of work were clear for all to see.
Most Radical: Hamel Daya, Renault Clio. Another contender for best paint, Hamel eventually took the “most radical” category with his insane Lord of the Rings themed Renault Clio. Hamel has built into the car not only an incredible paintjob, but also a middle-earth themed ICE install. Nucking futs!
Best Wheels: Gary Carroll, BMW M3 Convertible. Gary won this prize last year, but has developed the car even further this year and upgraded his already awesome wheels with a set of unique heavyweight spinners. This man is serious about his hoops.
Best Interior: Dave Collier, Peugeot 205. One of the hardest categories to judge, due to such close competition, Dave took the prize with his flawless old-school interior featuring a detailed painted roll-cage, crazy centre-mounted rear speakers and matching leather seats and trim.
Best Ice: Craig Prescott, Mazda RX-8. Craig's RX-8 was one of the first in the country, and one of the first to get modified! Yet he has managed to cram in £15,000 of ICE in his neat and tidy, but mean-as-hell Mazda. Not just a lot of money has gone into this car, but also a lot of innovation and skill.
Best Race Car: Karl Rowntree, Vauxhall Nova. This car deserved to win something. Flawless red paint and engine bay combined with smart-wheels and a beautiful stripped out but well-finished interior, we couldn't let it go. It may not be the fastest race-prepped car out there, but it certainly has to be one of the best looking. Old skool cool.
Best of Show: Miklos Szabados, BMW 318is. Miklos once again walked away with another USC trophy, and rightly so. Miklos has developed the car even further since last year, and everything about it is right. Colour-change metalflake paint (even on the wheels!), a massive sound-system, and crazy looks both inside and out make it the eye catching show-stopper it was always meant to be.

After the Show & Shine, things really took off in the Entertainment Zone, with another show by the UK Centrefolds, a brilliant performance by our favourite comedian Mad Mark Peters, and then onto Mr & Miss USC. The competition was wet and wild to say the least! We didn't ask them to, but we saw more than our fair share of flesh once again, but Mr USC was won by Albert Yeates from Kent , and Miss USC was won by the lovely Stacey Hill from the midlands, who proved that you can be a Miss USC winner without getting your tuppence out! Perhaps the crowd had seen enough of that sort of thing by that stage in the weekend!
Back on track, the Run What Ya Brung competition ended with some stunning times by some stunning and very special cars. The winners were as follows:
Class ET (sec) TS (mph) Driver Vehicle A622 13.469 108.68 Disqualified!* Disqualified!* B134 12.836 106.30 Disqualified!* Disqualified!* C987 11.575 117.18 Dave Hersey Caterham 7 D230 13.915 98.06 Simon Clarke BMW M3 E521 13.719 102.97 Andrew Knapp BMW M3 F234 12.027 115.15 Andy Nicholls MG Maestro G2000 11.123 128.18 Stewart Meads Mini RS Turbo H681 10.926 140.57 Russ Fellows VW Beetle I989 10.259 143.36 Clive Seddon Mitsubishi Evo 6 JPM10 7.774 178.52 John Ellis Pro Mod Vaux.
