We are officially on the countdown until Wednesday, 2nd April, better known as International World Autism Awareness Day! 22 Days to go!
The Light Cinema, New Brighton will be showing 2 films in autism friendly screenings, these screenings are not necessarily specific just for children with autism, but can also be really beneficial to other children with disabilities.
Autism Friendly screenings differ slightly than usual, there are no adverts before the film as it goes straight to feature, the sound is turned down, the lights are turned up and if your child decides to swop seats or tell you just how much they love the film, then this is ok too as no one will ask you to remain seated or be quiet, everyone within the screening has a shared understanding.
The first screening they are showing on Wednesday, 2nd April is Muppets Most Wanted at 5:15pm.
The second screening they are showing is Captain America – The Winter Soldier at 7:30pm.
Tickets are £5 per person (adults and children) and can be purchased in advance from either the Light Cinema direct or through Chloe Jones at the Rainbow Resource Centre; if you purchase your tickets from Chloe then she will also give you a blue pin badge from Wirral Autistic Society and if you are wearing this on the night, you will receive a free bag of popcorn!!
CEA Cards will be accepted as normal, so if you are purchasing tickets please make sure you bring this with you so we can make a note of it.
Orange Wednesday offers will not be accepted.
We would be very grateful if you could print off and share with friends and family, professionals this includes you to! we need to spread the word and sell some tickets
There will be staff from the Wirral Austisic Society present on the evening to say hello! As you have pre-booked your tickets and will have them on you, you don’t need to queue and will be shown straight into the screen, just like VIPs!
