I am currently unable to open the bonnet on my 2006 ford focus. I can turn the key to theLeft which released the bonnet but turning to the right does not release the main catch. I have watched a few videos on you tube and although it looks easy enough, I don't have the tools. Could anyone do this for me and I will pay you

What tools are required? Although I've never done it on a ford I have sorted bonnet release catches before.

When you turn the key to open it you have to hold it over and press the latch under bonnet at same time.

There is no latch to hold.

you turn key to left to unlock and then turn to right to lift bonnet.

I had to get something from a scrap yard from a focus, and they did not have key to bonnet, it took me over 45 mins to hammer and chisel the barrel to get it open.

Where your barrel pushes into the lock there is a white piece of plastic that wears down, and when you turn key it just does not catch.

I really dont fancy your chances of getting it open without causing damage.

Off topic, but I dont suppose you want a petrol tank with fuel pump do you for focus, FREE or it will be going to tip tomorrow, nothing wrong with it.
