My drop down choice menu arrows appear to have stopped working, press the arrow, menue appears but as soon as I lift cursor to make the choice the drop down menu clears. e.g. can't make a choice for date of birth on website orders or put numbers in for banking. Only happens on 2 vista setups, it's ok on Windows 8.1. This since either updates or BT changeover to it's new BT.com setup. Anybody else got this prob or have an idea how to get round it?

Check for java updates. Or also browser updates.
Try a different browser on your vista pc.
You have to close your browser completely for changes to apply.
Which browser are you using ?

Mark, I use BT for everything which I believe uses the IE9 browser at the moment. If I was a bit braver and aux fait with other browsers I would change. I'm a bit chicken these days. I'll have a go at GoogleChrome I think. Will try the updates anyway and see how I get one. Getting fed up with BT.

Just had a look at Chrome and what do you know, another load of personal information required and more bloody passwords and usernames. I suffering from password overload already. Drop downs don't work on Windows 8.1 either. There must be a reason somewhere.

Bandy I can remote connect and check over your settings. Im sure its a java problem.
To confirm this download and install google chrome. Just search download google chrome.
You should not have to fill in any user details as your only testing if the problem is down to a particular browser or its something else like java.
Drop me a pm if you want to try a remote connection.

Thanks for that Mark. Will have a little faff around myself and see if I can sort it, Java, Chrome etc. Whatever it is it's on the Windows 8.1 now as well. Must admit that finding stuff out is uplifting but a bit frustrating. Will give you a shout if I end up stumped. Same prob on 3 computers is weird. Cheers again.
