Well said stumpy
As I said frank just comes across as bitter and miss guided
All the public should fight against this insidious government robbing you whatever your job.
Fire men only want what they where told they'd get. Simple
Although this gov loves you to be distracted with tales of people on the dole foreigners and competition. The buck ultimately ends with their policies and personal hypocrisy.
If people don't stand now they may as well open the privatisation door and bend over. Funny how the very same companies are mates of the present government

I think that we are wasting our time here. Frank obviously believes in paying the private sector as much as possible and screwing the public sector for all it is worth. We don't and have said so, I personally do not see any point in wasting my time and energies going around in circles. I support the Firefighters 100% and do not see as feasible them having to work in their chosen profession until they are physically unable to do the job as they would wish, they will be a danger to themselves as well as the people they are there to help.

It is typical of the politicians to move the goal posts and force people who genuinely contracted to do a fixed term of employment, continue under unsuitable conditions in order to get their well deserved pensions. Politicians are slimy they slide out from under their stones alter things for their benefit and then slide back again. Time I think to look elsewhere for change from this present bunch of freeloading parasites.

Brown got in cause Blair finally stepped down too.
No one has been elected on main majority for years. !!!

I would put the ability to do a frontline firefighters job at a certain age on a par with our Armed Forces - would you feel safer with 60+ year old soldiers going out to do battle for you.(I didn't realize how low soldiers wages were)
(by the way I hope this doesn't put any ideas into a politicians head - god forbid)

OH right, the Queen says its OK - then it must be OK.

What a load of drivel - the Tories got more votes than any other party maybe, but they did not get a majority of seats and that is what matters. Its you living in fantasy land Frank not us. Brown did not get elected by the people, he was gifted the PMs job by Blair then managed to drop us all in it. Cameron et al have just managed to make a complete pills of it too, and they were not voted in on a majority either. Dream on in your little world Frank, a world which is not part of our world, we live in the real world.

My apologies Mark if I have upset anyone else, that was not my intention.

1997 war criminal Blair got in
2001 he did again by majority
2005 after Iraq lies and war he wavered and incompetent brown walked in looking like Mrs doubt fire dressed as Susan Boyle with the personality to match
2010 no one was voted in at all after salary expenses scandal etc
Cameron made a get me in pact to get enough to lever in the door
Then liberals bummed over all the students immediately
There's the facts frank

IMO no one in 12 years been solidly in.
After everyone's been bummed over, lost their job and pension or on six pound an hour.......will they get in....2015. No way no chance

getting back on track....
matt wrack FBU news letter today says
"ballot short of strike" (like I predicted work to rule)
1/ members have seen increases for two years and the gov have said itll go up to 14.2 %, a further increase.....this is the max pension payment of all sectors
2/new scheme (after 2006) members will now see a rise of 2.2 % by 2015. we cannot see FFS priced out of pensions, this would make the scheme further unsustainable.
3/many members still face prospects of pensions they signed up to being terminated without agreement ,protection against which hasn't been offered by the gov at all
4/yet still a key issue is NO JOB NO PENSION threat which is being addressed in Scotland as we speak
employers still confirm this is a real threat, the union has offered a draft regulation for an answer to this issue....its been ignored

whats more insidious is local agreement FF role maps might mean fire services will take up tu 20% pay off FFS if they work to rule, this is what they lost back in 2003 due to the complete " into the govs hands" f**k up andy gilchrist made of it
*****that last bit was me not matt wrack****

youre still living in the past mate
those days are gone, biffa does the bins, a private company,
all that ability for unions to stop things started with the destructive thatcher....its gone over the other way
yet again narrow mind, why would I put millaband in either ??
Just like the USA we have no choice cause theres only too raping-money scumbag parties to pick from....ill be doing a protest vote, not wasting my vote frank old boy.
Even farage who comes across ok is always banging the same drum about immigration issue, his views on economy or other important issues are silent.
You need to look at my other posts on millaband on here...
Politicians are boring detached don't live in the real world or get pay by results (like most) don't represent real people or their problems and feed as much as they can on their position.
Ive always know it...its taken all the slime to bubble up in ten years for the public to realise too
The great thing is, they always get caught in time

he said I quote " you do know, and they do aswell , that they'll be out in the next election wont they "
he was taking about his OWN party....its great theyre never that smart are they....

Actually they are from ten am till two !! The fire service
That aside it was meant metaphorically
You're resorting to sarcasm . No argument now?
All those poor people getting less pensions less hours less pay change of contract getting sacked and so on. I'll say just accept it cause franks says.
How about that?

I left early this morning in order to show my support to the striking firefighters.I took pictures from over the road and was blowing my whistle.

One of therm beckoned me over and asked me to take photos of them on their phones/ cameras, I was only glad to help.

Lovely, lovely people, was lovely to stop and chat and offer support.

On way home, passed again, this time in a miss m's car. I hung out of the window blowing my whistle and she tooted her horn laugh
