Hello does anyone know of a good psychic in the Wirral area. Birkenhead/Wallasey/Moreton would be ideal.

I've found Paul Henry online but want to chose someone via a first hand recommendation.

Thanks!

If they're any good then they'll find you.

If you mean good as in they can really do it... sadly not frown

If he's good you should tell him about James Randi's One Million Dollar's challenge...

So long as he can prove that he really does have powers and under scientific conditions then they'll reward him with One Million Dollars. It'd be good for him to gain a little more publicity too as if he really is psychic we'll probably need to rethink everything we know about science and our world.

Here's the link if you wouldn't mind passing it on! http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html

stuart was trained in bold st years ago to read body language, i have been to see stuart and taped the reading, after listening to it about 3 times, you realise just how very clever he is at using info gained earlier on to use later, he is very clever at what he does,
but as psychic as my toaster.

That kind of thing is called cold reading. It basically involves them repeating things you've already said or giving you a vague sentence that you then apply a meaning to.

and he is astonishingly good at it, i do know there are real people out there who have contact with the spirit world, but sadly a good 95% of them are just frauds, who make money out of vulnerable people who are desperate for some comforting message from their lost loved ones.

How can you tell the difference between the people faking it and the 5% that you believe are genuine?

I dont know, its so very hard, i have only ever met two people who i belive are able to communicate with the dead, both told me things they could never have known, things i never told anyone, and they were daft things that you couldnt look up or ask about, i dont want to go into details on here, as its personal, but both these people did not charge, they both appeared in a spiritualist church, i firmly believe that those who make a profit on it are not capable,

Hi could i pose a question please?

Why do all psychics deter people from the ouija board?

Well I'm completely open minded to the possibility of these abilities but I also think that great claims require great evidence.

If what you say did happen exactly as you believe and these people do have this kind of gift... do you not think that they should subject themselves to something like Randi's test that I mentioned above?

Even if these people aren't in it for the money surely they owe it to the world to have their gifts proven and examined. As I mentioned if they're telling the truth we would have to re-write everything we thought we knew about a lot of things. And they could do a lot more good on this global scale than providing a few people a week with some sort of comfort.

I was unaware that Psychics did deter people from using ouiji boards... however there is definitely nothing paranormal about them. They work via a principal known as the ideomotor effect. This basically involves the body producing movements that we are unconscious of. So basically if you truly expect the cup to move then the odds are you will move it without even realising. This will cause everybody else to believe the cup is moving on it's own and so they also will begin to push it without realising. Ironically this will then encourage the original person to believe it's a ghost and so will spur them on to unknowingly continue moving everything.

There are several experiments that have been done to debunk the ouija board all of which are very interesting.
