The first Annual Meeting of the Merseyside Police and Crime Panel is being held on Wednesday 24 July 2013.

The public meeting will take place in the Council Chamber, Huyton Municipal Buildings, Archway Road, Huyton, at 10am. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to observe the proceedings.

The Police and Crime Commissioner, Jane Kennedy, will be in attendance at the meeting, where she will present her annual report which will be considered by the panel. The commissioner will then answer any questions the panel may have on the report.

The panel’s work programme for the upcoming year will also be discussed at the meeting.

The Merseyside Police and Crime Panel examines the actions and decisions of the Police and Crime Commissioner, holding the commissioner to account for the exercise of her duties and responsibilities.

The panel is made up of 10 elected representatives from the local authorities within the Merseyside Police Force area, as well as two independent co-opted members.
