Has anyone got any nice ideas, for Christmas Eve dinner? Hoping to do something a little in advance, for 4/5 adults and two 2/3 year olds.

Alternatively, just tell us what you enjoy most.

Im serving lasagne and rocket leaf salad. I will
make it in the morning , cook it 40 mins before we sit down. Starting with Italian meats and cheese anti pasta! finish with a ready prepared tiramasu from sainsburys. Nice bottle red wine . Can't wait.

Usually I try not to eat too much on Christmas eve so I feel like I have loads of room left for stuffing myself to bursting point on Christmas day smile

My rule is to not eat a Sunday Dinner type munch, for a month, prior to Christmas.

Had a MARVELLOUS 'Thanksgiving' wink with Family n Friends.

Looking forward to Christmas Dinner.

If we're having visitors (most years) I invariably prepare a whole stuffed baked salmon.

This year will be no different.

All these sound like good ideas.

Spellbinder, what do you stuff your salmon with and do you serve it cold?

I usually stuff it with something like a rice/bacon/leek mixture and serve it hot.

Hey granny, you got me thinking about this year's salmon stuffing. I'll think I'll use Thai rice, bacon, spring onions, leeks and quartered water-chestnuts. The rice has to be cooked in stock, not water.

You know Spellbinder, it is sounding more delicious, it is also beginning to sound more like hard work raftl
I fully intend to give it a bash, but not on Christmas Eve, maybe New Year after a more leisurely week.
It could well be the platters with salad and a nice light lemon dessert to follow.

(Just noticed the rule.....i before e except after c and then it is e before i. Look at the word leisurely ??? ) Sorry , got sidetracked.

Baked Stuffed Salmon for New Year Spellbinder. Deffo! Thanks
