I was wondering that myself, could see/hear it from West Kirby, it was high, but up there for ages - absolutely still. We didn't hear any other emergency vehicles though.

A WOMAN'S body was found in woods in Saughall Massie in the Wirral yesterday.

Police found the body of a 51-year-old woman in woodland off Oldfield Lane.

They carried out a search of the area after they were called at 4.30pm by a relative who expressed concerns for the woman's safety.

Paramedics attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said enquiries were at an early stage but the death was not believed to be suspicious.

HE HAS MADE A FEW SENSELESS COMMENTS OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS. PERHAPS THIS PERSON WAS VERY TROUBLED OR COULDN'T COPE WITH THE LOSS OF SOMEBODY NEAR AND DEAR TO HER. I DON'T KNOW THE FACTS BUT NO DOUBT SHE HAS LEFT SOME PEOPLE VERY SAD WITH THEIR LOSS. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE A CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENT DON'T MAKE IT YOU PLANK.

I joined this forum for one reason only - to reply to your comment. The person - yes person - you are talking about was my friend of over 20 years. A decent, hardworking, caring and compassionate mother and wife who probably contributed more in a day than you have in your entire life. She will be missed by many people. You must be awful to even say that.

Nottsgirl, please don't. Think everyone on here are narrow minded, there are a lot of genuine people on here who feel for all concerned . Condolences to all.
