I accept that but I refuse to believe that anyone doesn't have the ability to consider the consequences.

Another maybe.
Maybe they didn't have anyone to consider and doubt the 'consequences' would even come into it. Just try to imagine a little harder sir, because that is all we can do. Not really for discussion in this place.

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.

So sad when someone feels they can't cope to the point that they take their own life. More so sad that some poor innocent person had to find him in such tragic circumstances - a day I am sure the motorist will had disturbed sleep over for many years to come frown xx

Hold on a second, how can you suggest they had nobody to consider?

They had to consider every other person on this planet who might have to find them and they had to consider what that would or may do to them! That sort of thing could be enough to seriously mentally scar them! Just because they may not have had any family does not mean a thing.

Entirely selfish, and I'm talking purely about where they did it.

Do whatever you want to yourself in the confines of your own home ffs.

People who feel so desperate that they commit suicide are obviously beyond rational thought.

RIP

I don't think that assumption is valid.
Some time ago, I decided that if I were diagnosed with a fatal illness, especially if it was going to involve pain or a loss of dignity, I would choose to end my own life. In preparation for this possibility I have obtained a supply of a fast acting barbiturate which will see me fall asleep in a couple of minutes and die an hour or so later.
All my family are aware of my plans and have accepted my decision.
I don't think this demonstrates a lack of rational thought.

That's a completely different scenario and I would probably do the same myself.

Hanging yourself must be a pretty horrific way to die and for somebody to do this suggests to me that they were not of sound mind.

I agree that hanging is not a very attractive way of killing yourself, but it does have the advantage that the equipment is readily available. It's probably marginally better than throwing yourself in front of a train, which happens quite regularly, with the attendant trauma for the poor driver.

After looking in to God I made a few interesting similarities with time.

Just as man seems to have discovered God he has also discovered time.

Time like god has no actual physical presence, more metaphorical. It can not be held, seen , smelt or heard but we all believe in it - bit like God we just know its there.

We work so hard to keep time, prove it exists and will go to any lengths to keep it or believe its real.

Just like God is infinite so too is time depending on how far we are prepared to measure its distance.

Is time as real as god?

The only thing we all need is love because that is real.

Judicial hanging requires the use of the correct noose placed correctly and enough drop to sever the spinal cord.

A rope on a tree results in slow strangulation. I'd imagine there are faster ways although I've not given it much thought

Alternatively, a long enough drop will result in decapitation. As you've indicated, judicial hanging is a quite precise science.
