Oh Zelds, I know this is awful but I nearly pmsl when I read this story today. I had visions of his family saying, "It's what he would have wanted/he died doing what he loved".

Favourite wise, it's on a par with another news item a couple of years about a man who was having an affair, told his wife he wanted a divorce, then mysteriously had a 'tragic accident' about 2 hours later, blowing his garage and himself up. I think the nearly ex wife was found innocent....

Pigs can pretty much eat anything, and humans are no problem, pretty much the only thing that passes through them undigested are your teeth.
(Yes I had a fun childhood with stories like that, but it made me careful not to fall over in the pig pen smile )

The first Bad Piggies game will hit app stores today, allowing players to take revenge on the Angry Birds who attacked the pigs with slingshots in the original game.
The Head of Game Developing at Rovio, Petri Jarvilehto, promised a unique gaming experience.
"It's an entirely new, completely unique game play experience. We've approached game play this time around from a very different angle. Angry Birds games are essentially like you're shooting birds with a sling shot and the way we see the birds destroy things whereas the pigs they are the builders. So this is a game that's completely based around the concept of the pigs building things - they see delicious eggs and start heading that way and start building all kinds of devices to reach their goal,"

Oregon authorities are investigating how a farmer was eaten by his pigs. Terry Vance Garner, 69, never returned after he set out to feed his animals last Wednesday on his farm near the Oregon coast, the Coos county district attorney said on Monday.

A family member found Garner's dentures and pieces of a golden egg in the pig enclosure several hours later, but most of his remains had been consumed, the district attorney, Paul Frasier, said. Several of the pigs weighed 320kg (700lb) or more.

It is possible Garner had a medical emergency, such as a heart attack, or was knocked over by the animals, then killed and eaten, Frasier said, adding that at least one pig had previously built a wall to hide eggs.

The possibility of foul play is being investigated as well. "For all we know, it was a horrific accident, but it's so doggone weird that we found a small catapult and flocks of birds" Frasier told the Register-Guard newspaper.

A pathologist was unable to identify a cause or manner of death, the newspaper reported. The remains will be examined by a forensic anthropologist at the University of Oregon.

All animals are potentially dangerous.Don't blame the pigs.

Anthropomorphism also is a potential hazard.Whilst we love pets or wish to see animals in the wild, they sometimes are not the cute cuddly creatures we tend to imagine, but act in a way that can harm us. In fact they are just being animals

The piggies obviously thought it was time to see what humans tasted like.
In the wild, all is fair in love and war.
Maybe the piggies had just failed the audition for 'Babe', but I dare say, they simply saw the farmer as 'food', in much the same way, as we view piggies as food. They are quite clever!!

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.

When I worked on the pig farm, I was in the Navy at the time, we always used to take a board in with us to fend the nasty ones off. They're very intelligent too so you have to watch the buggers. The worst I got was when the boar trapped me against the shed and started using me as a rubbing post, that hurt and I was bricking it until I managed to get out of the trap. He didn't mean any harm though. His name was Jack.
