Hi can anybody tell me a good vent to fit, and where to buy, I've just knocked the hole through the gable end of my semi...the wind howls down in between my house and the neighbours on a windy day and I'd like to buy a decent vent cover that won't either flap about too much (I've heard that some can become like a whistle), it's to fit a 150mm dia duct and would like one with a mesh to discourage insects getting in
any idea's folks? I've looked on B & Q website and Wickes...

Whoops, sounds like you have created a real wind funnel here. You may well have to put up a baffle to protect the vent rather than just a vent.A strip of aluminium at right angles to the wall should do the trick.
