Your recollection seems pretty spot on when compared to a 1920 plan of the yard, though your Plumbers Shop is actually marked as the Pipe Fitters Shop and Boiler Tubing Plant. The main Plumbers Shop in those days was the other side of the Boiler Shop at the west end of the Engine Shop range.
In the photo the building immediately to the right of the Joiners Shop was the old Drawing and General Offices. South of the Mould Loft, partly hidden by the smoke, were the Ship Fitters Shop and Smithies, whilst in the immediate foreground is the basin in which a large Floating Dock was built for the Admiralty in 1912, with alongside it the Heavy Plate Shop.
And, just in case anybody is wondering, the large vessel under construction on No 6 Slip at right is the Cunard liner Samaria which was launched on 27th November 1920.

God help us,
Come yourself,
Don't send Jesus,
This is no place for children.

Thanks app/plumbers and plumbers used to play football on that area between 12-00am and 1-00pm in 1960/1970.
Other memories from Plumbers Shop
couple of pints in The old house at home
Having a chinese meal in Green Lane next to paper shop
Going up to the old market for a dinner two prices one for workers and higher price shoppers on market day

No tea breaks Tom Collerton Jnr (head foreman Plumber)coming down the shop to the bending blocks. Its where we used to boil our cans to make a cups of tea Standing there till all the water had boild away and can melted.
Other shop Foreman Tom Williams Fred Roberts and Gerry O'Neil

Just for comparison, here's a near identical view of Laird's yard from 1964.
