My sons DS turns on no problems displays the health and safety screen and when touched or press a it goes to the next menu. But anything selected on the second menu screen goes black and it says... An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSI operations manual for details. But the manual dosent say much and I have removed the battery to see if that would work but it never anyone have any idea how to fix it or is it dead thanks.

Hi
If you are using an r4 card or similar then this has been blocked. Probably due to an update being performed on the DS.
Remove the card and the DS should work - you will have to buy another card.
If it's not a r4 card problem then I don't know how to fix it.

Ok touch the very upper Left hand corner when you start up the game (the screen at start up). a menu for set up will come on. Then there's a rest all, press this for a couple seconds it will take it back to new. The bad part about this is if you had games you bought and installed you will loose them. let me know how you got on the link

ok try this Press and Hold R+L+start when starting the DSi. The calibrate screen appears. Click on the points on the screen. Start the DSi again. if this doesn't work it looks like you'll have to ring Nintendo up
