You have this Newsgroup; "uk.rec.gardening" which is an active group full of very knowledgeable people,

Or this Forum; "http://www.gardenbanter.co.uk" which is really only a copy of posts that are posted on the above uk.rec.gardening, not exactly Wirral based but popular.

It's not on this forum it's a newsgroup which means you have to subscribe to it using your preferable news client, though garden banter is a forum.

At this time of year it would be great to have a gardening forum.

When noticing a couple of people have mentioned that a garden forum would be a good idea, I tend to agree. There is so much to do at this time of year and so many newcomers to gardening, it would be a great idea.
Keen gardeners will be eagerly planting their vedgetables for the first time.Others will be wondering what to do with daffodils when they have finished flowering, and some may be looking for new plants to grow in a shady spot.
How to make a compost heap, the best time to cut back shrubs and trees or even help to identify plants.
Also include any wildlife such a hedgehogs, birds and bees.(or faeries)
Who knows, we could start a bartering system: 6 apples for a lb beans.!
We could all have a lot of fun and it's a topic which our friends in foreign parts could also be part of. Tell us what you grow and when. How we can cope better with drought or severe frosts and extreme cold.
Let's enjoy!

Obviously, not much help there.

Had no interest in growing spuds anyway, was only asking!
