Price Street Birkenhead, both ways between A552 Argyle Street and Adelphi Street Merseyside - Price Street in Birkenhead closed in both directions between the A552 Argyle Street junction and the Adelphi Street junction, because of a police incident. Diversion in operation - for buses to use Europa Boulevard. Source Doesn't say why though....

Just drove past on way to work - well tried to - hundreds of people stood round on hamilton square who can't get to work

A SUSPICIOUS package found in Wirral caused road closures this morning.
Officers were called at about 7.20am after reports that it had been discovered outside Brunswick House, Price Street, Birkenhead.
The area has been cordoned off and road closures are in place. Specialist officers are currently at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
