Well, I took my time getting a car eh! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral18015.jpg) Today I did my two first mods! - Sony CD/MP3 Player
- KA Sticker (Thanks to Martin (Just Doors) )
This was the "old school" tape player I had this morning... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral18011.jpg) And this is a more up-to-date CD/MP3 player that Dazza fitted for me this afternoon! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral18012.jpg) Another mod was a KA sticker! Which you can see in the new pic! I did want the KA from the old tape player in but it wouldn't fit so I went to Martin and he sorted it by giving me a few KA stickers! (Adam's gone mad with them!! - MEN! lol)

Got my heart set on Escort GTi wheels sorry Jimbo! If I can't get any, then I want some OZ Hydras! Just been messing about on Paint and I think my attempt to modify the KA has gone well! For those who haven't noticed, I have smoothed the boot, put tints on (hehe) , got rid of the wiper and de-handled too! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral19024.jpg) What you think?! Would look smart with some nice alloys! (Hint hint to all you photoshoppers!)

cant beat a bit of modifying in paint so much better than that photoshop nonsense was definetly a good find with it having so many luxaries and such little milage on it i've had the pleasure of driving it and its a great little car was a lot comfier than my car, guess thats down to my suspension being solid though i know you've got plenty of plans for it and they're all bloody good ones too, and im always here to help if you want a hand

You kept the new car very quiet didnt ya Looking good Vics. I recon those Escort wheels will look sweet, couple of inches bigger and a nice 5 bar Ford wheel, I think some aftermarket wheels could look a little OTT on that KA.

Lol, I think the Cossie rims would make it look too much like a roller skate, plus the Escort Cosworth 5 spokes are 16's

Those escort gti wheels will go on nicely If youre going to lower it, you can bag a genuine ford racing suspension kit for about 150quid. It'll lower it about 30mm which will look well sexy with the wheels. I'll show you mine when i get it back from the bodyshop!

Thanks to everyone for lovely comments I like my car too net! It is bigger than you would think inside! Last week I washed it and MisterAdam debadged the back for me... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral26035.jpg) On Sunday Me, MisterAdam and Lazy Ben did some modifying on my car..... BEFORE ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral18014.jpg) ^With Orange side repeaters AFTERWith Clear/White side repeaters ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05april/cruisewirral26036.jpg) I really think it looks a lot nicer with the new ones! What does everyone else think? As for up and coming mods, I am getting some tints soon. Got quoted £90 for the back. £150 for all round. That was from Vinyl Graphics

Vicky, i take it u cant see the blue of the UV light unless theres white stuff in the foorwell. I had a pait of blac lights under my dash but i could hardly ever see anythin as i dont have white shoes, so i took em back. U on the otherhand have lovely shoes so they light uip well.I think the camera shows the blueness because it can detect the colour. The human eye however cant detect colours at this frequency so u cant see a glow.Look lovely tho vickster. And u have an exhaust?!

Most recent mods Tinted windows! Limo black on the rear. Very hard for me at the moment to drive and park in the dark in areas that aren't lit up properly! BUT I will get used to it! New Grille!I love this new grille. Got it from Demon Tweeks. Just changes the whole appearance of the front of the car I think. Woo! All these subtle mods are coming along great! What do you all think? NEXT MOD (HOPEFULLY)15" OZ Racing Hyrda Alloy Wheels ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/02/05june/crusiewirral-vicki-ka-001.jpg) Again, what do you think of these......?

Got to say very nice, got a great little car there. The mods are looking really good and the wheels should look great on the car.

Just two??? The windows look super pimpoid there vick. Grill is nice and does give it a look that seerates it from the standard ford puppies. Wheels are well sweet. They will appear more aggresive than the GTi rims and will definately suit her down to the ground
Ever thought of gettin the front door glass tinted to legal limits. It aint much but it helps stop the sun from hurtin ur face and as it is i think it looks odd but good.

def go for the 4 wheels especially if you got road legal tyres on them
you looking at buying them new, with a tyre package, cos it might me worth while upgrading to a better tyre, i didnt and after 6 months the tyres wore down and well i had to remove them for the mot

Yer go for the best tyres you can afford, and make sure you can afford to replace the tyres when it comes to them getting low, or you'll have to drive round with steelies on the front till you get new ones, which'll look pretty stupid

that doesnt matter. What does matter is what tires come on the wheels. Chances are u will get silverstones or some other poo brand. Dependin on how hard ur gonna drive the car and how low ur gonna take it will affect ur choice of tire. In the beggining for shrek yokos were good but near the end i discovered yokos wore too fast(cos theyre a soft grippy rubber) so i got nexens which are harder and last slightly longer with a little bit less grip. When are u ever gonna test ur tires to the limit on the wirral? bridgestones are good for hard lasting tires tho

Its worth investing in a good set of rubber as its what keeps you on the road. A set of softer rubber tyres will last you longer than the likes of Scoop who does a lot of miles to and from Scotland, so it might still be worth getting some soft compound ones as they wont wear as quick

Soft ones wud last u a year i think vicky wheras soft ones lastest me 4 months. Hard ones however wud last u well over 12 months. All depends on your budget. How safe u wanna be and how much ur gonna drive the car. Its funny cos i was literally meltin my yokos. 200 of the 300 miles at 100MPH+ was not good for them

My continentals have lasted well, and the grip they offer is superb.

Yeah continentals, goodyears and bridgestones tend to be the longest lasting tyres, all really good makes too. I'd say Toyos will suit what you're gonna do vic, imo they offer the best handling for the price too.
Car looks really smart with the tints and grill, can't wait to see it with the alloys on and lowered.
