Go on Monday instead!

The lighthouse is usually open on the first Sunday of every month, but the Friends of Leasowe Lighthouse thought everyone might be a bit tired on Sunday, so we are opening on Monday 2nd January instead. In addition, to take advantage of the winter sunshine laugh the lighthouse will be open earlier than usual, from 11.00am to 3.00pm (last trip to the lampproom at 2.30pm).

As has been said before, there are height restrictions - basically if your child's head is higher than your kitchen work surfaces, she/he will probably be tall enough to climb to the top. Age doesn't matter, it's just little legs get too tired.

Went today for the first time. Really enjoyed the visit. The views were good, flocks of birds swirling around, with the sunlight on the windmills. It was very interesting. A definite, if I have friends visiting when it is open.
You appreciate from the top, how badly the surrounding land gets flooded.

Yes, I took the last tour - I've never seen it that wet before.

That's unfair, dissapointing for the kids more than anything, what a let down.

Is it really worth the effort arranging these things if your going to pick and choose who can go and who cannot go?
Building their hopes up only to let them down?

I'd be furious if I was the parent no

when i went one of the tour guides mugged me right off over my little girl, the thing that wound me up was there was a littleun in the fooking group about to go up - the red mist discended and i thought about it but i didnt i took the kids and walked out, they were disapointed they couldn't go up

probably didnt like the look of me
