I found this on a motorcycle forum. Looks useful although I have not had a full look at it yet http://www2.getmapping.com/Products...0a486f979eba58d1aafa66&affId=1503186it shows aerial pictures from circa 1999 and how it looked in the 1940's On the right hand side enter your post code (or anywhere you want to view)when the map comes up click on the tab on the top left of the map for 1940 - 47 to see what it looked like back then you may need to zoom out (size blocks just above the pic) to get it to work you can also drag the view box about to see a wider area than your initial search area Oh you don't have to pay for preview maps, just if you want to save them Snod
5 Precepts of Buddhism seem appropriate. Refrain from taking life. Refrain from taking that which is not given. Refrain from misconduct. Refrain from lying. Refrain from intoxicants which lead to loss of mindfulness

Well I'm not sure if you've seen this but this is the BEST site for Ariel of a Cheshire which allows a comaprrison with other dates so you can roughly tell what you're looking at - this also includes maps of areas from as early as 1836 http://maps.cheshire.gov.uk/tithemaps/TwinMaps.aspx
