I'm going to wait a bit before buying this one. I don't like buying games for top dollar, but mainly I want to wait until the hype has died down.
I loved GTA3 and when GTA4 was released all the early reviews talked it up as the greatest game ever. A couple of months later, I and many others found it quite humourless and repetitive and not nearly as fun as the earlier game.
I'm getting that same feeling as before, I really enjoyed Oblivion, bugs not withstanding, and now want to try the new game, but with so much hype for it to live upto, it might be an expensive mistake to buy today.

Make sure to download the child kill mod if you're on PC and want to play a realistic evil char. Sucks that Bethesda put stupid restrictions on what npcs can die.

all night, all I've heard is "dragons, mother....dragons" [Linked Image]
no other word muttered, at all...and if i hear "draaagoonnns mother...dragons" one more time, I'm gonna [Linked Image]

I dunno why he expects me to be impressed that you can kill dragons in the game [Linked Image] he can see I'm reading a book about Saphira and Eragon and he expects me to be impressed you can slaughter dragons in Skyrim [Linked Image]

BUT I watched the clip just now and even I have to say, the improvements I could see, graphic wise, are outstanding! am well impressed of the running through the forest scene....

ok theres bound to be some lagging teething probs with it, did you not see how severe the lag was an the older games?!
If Matt could still play them and not smash up his bedroom through severe frustration....

Sorry ex0 I didn't see your questions til now...I haven't heard of the games, but its been a few years now, since i was seriously into gaming, when Matt got to the stage of where he wasn't having huge meltdowns out of sheer frustration with games, I backed off.
He probably has them somewhere on his shelves...hes got 1000's.

I just need the strength to get through another day of "dragons mother...dragons"

No faults/texture problems/lagging on pc.

Playing with everything on ultra and I'm like 20 hours into it, absolutely fantastic.

Couldn't get into Oblivion. Since then I have played, and enjoyed, Fallout 3 and FO: New Vegas.

TESV: Skyrim turned up today. It's only been installed for 5 hours, and I've racked up over 3 hours game play already...
