I love VW Beetles, nearly bought one on ebay a few months back, 1964 (i think) white with US style bumpers on it.

So much character, shame the replacement doesnt live up to it frown

Quote
There was an accident today on at junction 3 on the M65, walton summit turnoff.

a VW beetle hit a Lorry head on! there were two ppeople in the VW, and one in the lorry.

the lorry carrying wooden pallets was driving up the sliproad to the motorway, and the beetle was coming off the roundabout towards walton summet. The beetle had lost controll after hitting gravel that was in the road (on a very sharp left hand corner). The rear end of the beetle hit the gravel, oversteered, the driver corrected it but the rear end went the opposite way, forcing the car to hit the lorry head on.

both the lorry and beetle were pretty badly smashed, either one couldnt be driven or pushed out of the way, the damage was that bad.

the driver of the lorry was fine, and me and Kris are fine too, just in pain and battered and bruised.
