Hi Guys, The front passenger side has been broken for over a year, the electric mechanism has broken. This morning when i went to put the window down, I heard a clunk/bang noise and low and behold that has now gone too. Didnt really bother me about the passenger one but do need the driver one to work, I would like a quote on how much to fix them please if anyone knows of someone who could do it. Thanks Carol

Hi xxw It is usually the carrier/controller and/or the motor when this happens. My driver side went last year. I am afraid it cost me about £150 to get just the one fixed. That was at Apex Garage next to Hoylake Station. I am sure you could get them fixed for cheaper if you ring around, but it still won't be cheap I'm afraid.

I took my car to Wirral Spares on Borough Road when the window mechanism went, worked out much cheaper for me than elsewhere. 400 Borough Road Birkenhead Merseyside CH41 2UZ Telephone: 0151 651 2228 Fax: 0151 653 8822 The guy who does it I think is independant fromt them but tends to work from their car park as it's easier to get the parts if he needs them

Best thing to do, is buy the parts your self from ebay, and i can fit them, If you want me to check and see which part has broke, i will, i can then advise you which part to buy, and i can tell you it will be much much cheaper than getting a garage to do it.

Wow, cant believe you`d do that Willo, thankyou so much, and thanks kimpri1, that link is amazing. When the 2nd guy pressed the window button, you could hear the motor turning, so we are just waiting for him to call us with a price of the cables from renault. Thanks again guys, chuffed to bits with your replies, nice to feel i`m not on my own with this problem :))xx Carol
