Pretty volatile subject then, property. At the end of the day if you are in negative equity now you just have to grin and bear it until things move again, but at least you have somewhere to live so it's not a lose lose situation. If you have loads of properties rented by Woolworths then that is a totally different kettle of fish, you are a speculator and came unstuck. If you are trying to get on the property ladder then it's pretty tough at the moment but it used to be like that through until the 70's and suddenly you had people making the move from rental to buying. In my case it was the 80's and my landlord (the MoD) was crap and I needed to get my family into a decent environment, so you could say I was forced into it. Good Luck anyway to which ever way you jump but you will need patience.
