does anyone know wether there was a bottle or glass factory around westway/pasture ave in moreton.digging in the garden and keep finding different types of glass.

Loads of old bottles are dug up on Moreton common. Think it was used as a rubbish dump. Not sure about factories though apart from the Moreton Glass washer works.

Where ATS tyres are on Hoylake Rd. It was "The Moreton Bottle & Glass washer Company. Nearly every pub in the UK had on of these machines in the days before dish washers.
