I think thats the one!Titanic is what i had in my mind,but wasn't sure,as it was my drunken teenage years! I was given some of the ships lanterns that were used in the film,so thanks for clearing that up for me.

This piece of the Manxman was actually refurbished for a part in a film/drama, I don't know which one though.

The Manxman was, as Helles said used in "Chariots of Fire". Was shown at the old/real Woodside landing stage. Everyone was boarding the "Ferry to Calais" !
