Im thinking of getting a mondeo diesel but dont want one with a DPF as during the week it will only be used for short journeys does anyone know when they started fitting them I have phoned fords but got the usual blurb that short runs wont affect the DPF so i would be better buying a new one Also the DMF clutch is it as expensive as the ford garage has quoted for replacement £1000 plus vat more if I need a new starter. Thanks

Im thinking of getting a mondeo diesel Mate has one and it's been an expensive disaster. 1500 quid to fix the engine and it's still not right. Prob best avoided. Always take a look at Honest John first if you are thinking of buying a car: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/mondeo-iv-2007/?section=badBased on that, I wouldn't touch it with someone else's shitty stick.
