Ps. now's the time to carry out any murders or robberies as I think every single police car on the Wirral is out there and the road is closed from Leasowe roundabout right up to The Farmers.

whats the harm...like I said it amusing...or otherwise 1000s of hours of police camera action footage wouldnt be watched by millions of people all over the world...

Police chases on their own are humorous, it will have been humorous for the people on the prom watching 10 police cars chase a car round in circles. What isn't funny is what happened next.

Well exactly...Wench wasnt to know that was gonna happen...and therefore quite reasonable to observe that its funny plod cant catch a couple of car theives in this day n age!

This whole incident goes to show that anyone who thinks a "high speed police chase" is anything but deadly dangerous and liable to end in loss of life, obvously hasn't taken part in one or the results of one. What are you, 12? Yes people are morbidly facinated by them but the last word I would use to describe themn would be "amusing" or "funny". Grow up people this is Wallasey Village not L.A.

Well I can say that I have taken part in the results of them - too many times than I care to remember!! That's why I have NO sympathy for those who are driving the cars that don't stop for Police due to whatever reason.

The sympathy I DO have is for those who are innocent and the members of the emergency services who have to pick up the pieces!

Those of us that deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis develop what we call "mortuary humour". It's how we cope. If we didn't deal with life and death this way, we'd soon lose the plot and wouldn't last long at all!!

Apparently guys the car that was responsible was stolen from Manchester and the driver jumped out an legged it! Thats why the helicopter was out but i believe they caught the ... bag.

I have no problem whatsoever with you Wench! I know that you 'got' the point earlier. I also know that at that time you had no way to know this would happen (hence the use of the word 'unfortunate'). It was the later comments - just crass. Especially with a picture in front of us of someone being treated for injuries, lying on the pavement.

I was playing tennis at the time and the sirens went on for ages then the chopper came out so I went and investigated. Didn't expect to find what I did.

People were everywhere.

I hope the innocents are OK and I also hope that the hearsay above about them catching the ... are also correct.
