Found an original shot of my old road as it was being built in 1923. The shot shows that the tarmac has not been laid and none of the early even numbered houses have been built. My family still live in the road and my Grandparents were one of the first families to move in. I was told that the even numbered houses were built on top of the old football ground.

If you look on a 1910 map of the area you can see a marked out football ground. Will post a link when I find it
