There is a company on the dock road who have an archive off all local papers going back over 80 years.
We have had stuff off them before its called cull micro imaging.

The Liverpool Archives have back issues of the Liverpool Echo and the Daily Post on Film. However the archives are closed for the next two years.
They are presently in temporary accomodation at:
Unit 33 Wellington Employment Park South Dunes Way L5 9RJ Telephone: 0151 233 5817
They are only open Tuesday to Saturday and by appointment only, you have to book at least 24 hours in advance and tell them what you want to see.

The newspapers on film are available in the temporary library at Liverpool Museum.

How about archives for the Wallasey News (Wirral News as it is now)?
I know that in 1968 there was a photo & short item of mum and about 5 other ladies. This was taken outside a charity shop (NSPCC) they had run next to Woolies in Liscard. Mum knows all the names of the people in the photo and used to have a copy of it - but it has gone missing.
I am guessing that the Wallasey News/ Wirral News group ie Liverpool Echo) will have an archive but I do not know how easy it is to get access.
