There is a small hole on the lens of the rear lights where the indicator is which is obviously an MOT fail. I've seen you can get patches for them are these any good or should I just pay the £25-£30 for a used unit?
Cheers
Phil

You could put clear tape over it and fit an orange bulb Not aesthetically appealing, but it will keep you on the right side of the law for the least money.

It's got an orange bulb in already as the plastic is sort of clear and red. So mr rozzer and mr MOT man will be ok with the repair tape?

Should be, 3 points for having bright light showing on rear though so be careful.

I put the hazards on and looked from different angles but it didn't appear any brighter than the n/s - possibly because it's an orange buld and clear lens affair... So hopefully not noticable... I will pick some tape up and repair it tonight.
