HMS Manchester will be arriving on the Mersey tomorrow morning for the final time before returning to Portsmouth to be decommissioned on February 24 frown . She is expected to dock in Liverpool at approx 10am so will be seen at the opening of the Mersey from approx 0900-0930.

She will be open to the public for one day on Sunday from 1200-1700. She will leave on Monday frown (time tbc)

HMS Liverpool will return on 26th February for 2 days and will also be open to the public. (time tbc)

If possible, don't miss this Naval treat. Come and show your support to the Men and Women of the Royal Navy and say goodbye to HMS Manchester for the final time.

Cheers Wench, the last time i seen the Liverpool was at the 50th anniversary, battle of the Atlantic celebrations, previous to that, working on her and going on sea trials, Jimbob also worked on her, its a wonder it still floats.

Thanks for that Bert smile I knew she was a local lass but it's always nice to know we have members of Wiki who have worked on the Naval ships that visit, whether it be the building or serving as crew. I'm looking forward to going aboard her smile

A tv series of HMS Manchester's final deployment starts on Five at 9pm on 7th Feb. There's only 5 episodes but it makes for good viewing.

It'll be an honour to go aboard but it will also be sad to see her decommissioned frown
