Birkenhead mum jailed for £35,000 mortgage scam A MUM who forged her ex-husband’s signature to get her home re-mortgaged for £35,000 was jailed.
Janet Parry, 46, had previously faked her former partner’s writing to get a £3,000 loan from a finance company after struggling to meet her house repayments.
Jailing her for six months, Judge Ian Trigger said: “These two transactions were rooted in dishonesty. The difficulty is that there would inevitably have been suspicion and concern at the very least on your former husband.”He told Parry, of Ashtonwood Road, Birkenhead, he would be failing in his public duty if he did not jail her. Mandy Nepal, prosecuting said Parry’s ex-husband uncovered the scam after she was evicted. She pleaded guilty to two counts of dishonestly obtaining a money transfer by deception. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...gage-scam-100252-27971053/#ixzz1ApEuMwNu
