Horrible experience for you both. The bad owners always give the good ones a bad name.
See you in cyberspace!

hope your dogs ok, if her dog was unpredictable it should of been muzzled. There should be a law made for people wanting these powerful dogs to go to training classes to handle them properly. yep!

my dad and his king charles were attacked by a lurcher in ellesmere port, the dog max had very serious injurys to his leg but so far has managed to keep it with plates in his leg.Any dog who is unpredictable should be kept on a lead and muzzled at all times, fair enough the gentleman who owned the dog payed all the £3000 vets bills but doesnt that say to you that the owner was in the wrong? wishing your gorgeous dog a full recover,my parents reported this to the liverpool echo in a bid to raise awareness of these common incidents and to help in getting these unpredictable dogs muzzled in public places wow!! poor dog. I will be sending the bill to her if I find out where she lives. thanks

I love most dogs , and really upsets me to hear of family pets being attacked by these unpredictable beasts, but i would prefer all dogs to be muzzled in public.I dont think these idiots with these offensive weapons should be able to have any excuse , like the size of a dog or the breed of a dog , as an excuse for not muzzling.Btw, when i say idiots , i mean the type whom we all see in our parks and on our proms .

I know who you mean and there are a lot of them about, but say I muzzled my dog coz she don't like small dogs; how would she protect herself from being attacked by an unmuzzled dog that didn't like her. my dog has been attacked several times by small yappy ankle biters that owners think is funny when they run up to my big dog (on a lead) and start having a go, she has fought a few of them off and the owners have said; I have a viscous Alsatian and it should be muzzled because their dog is only small and wouldn't really hurt her!! if i let her off the lead she would do more than just snap at them. but I have her under control and that's the difference. but stupid irresponsible owners will always give a dog a bad name no matter what breed/cross/size it is.

Omg Tilly sorry to hear this this may effect her now mentally when taking her out again and you as well scare4d to go to that park incase it happens again.poor Tilly she was lucky.years ago where i lived there was a park across th road and this man used to take his freinds german shepard for a walk .one day i heard this sreaming and it was the german shepard .A pitbull had the dog by the hind leg and wouldnt let go the man was old and was breathless trying to get this dog off this dogs legs .Even poeple stopped there crs and didnt know what to do .I went and got a sweep brush ran behind the pitbull hit it in the nuts and as it jumped back i got it at the front of the neck and pushed it in the corner .we had a real go at the owner as she put the lead on it .the poor german shepard was shaking and the man i thought he was ready to take a heart attack.i took the 2 of them across the road to my house .i gave the man a cup of sweet tea and the dog a drink of water. His leg had a punture wound poor boy . Hi Summer thanks hun, she is healing physically ok, but mentally? I won't know until she is fit enough to go out again. you did well saving the old mans dog and taking on a Pitt-Bull yer mad woman lol! but yer don't think of the consequences when put in those situations do you? glad it turned out ok for you and the old man and his dog xxx

Saw your letter to wirral globe! they didn't print the full description of the dog and owner tho. now people will probably avoid all the Mastiffs that go to the park now, and I didn't want that to happen, most Mastiffs are lovely dogs.
