HIS NAME IS JACK HE IS A BLACK WHIPPET TYPE DOG WITH WHITE DAPPLED PAWS AND A WHITE BIB.. HE HAS A RED TARTAN COLLAR.

sorry to hear you have lost your dog. frown I assume you have tried the dog pound in Birkenhead.
another thing you could do is, register your dog here;

volunteers will get to work with posters and searches. the quicker you act the more likely you will get your dog back.

someone will contact you soon prob the morning. they will also do a poster for you and the helpers in your area to print off and post as far as possible.
there was a dog missing last week from Leasowe and taken to Seacombe. I, and several others in the area posted the dogs picture up from wallasey village to seacombe ferry and the dog was returned because of the posters, so they do work.
