‎**Is Compulsory Microchipping the way forward**how can we make people comply
**why are dogs in rescues and pounds un-claimed with Microchips? **why are these owners not prosecuted and made to pay for dumping their pet?
**What would you like to happen? how do we reduce the killing of so many dogs??????

I know i'm coming across very anti-animal in my post, but, there is more important issues at the moment, like Baby P, and the young girl starved death in Birmingham.

We need to sort out the children first, before the animals.

With regards to solving the Unwanted Pets, then lets look at and deal with the sales side first, before the owner side. Maybe a dog tax of £100, to put off all those except the ones who really want a dog.

Trouble with the micro chipping is that once you move and dont tell anyone where you have gone to it doesn't work.

Tilly did you get my pm this morning i sent you about this? well it just shows you for example last week the cat that was left with his ears half decayed away and a hole in one that you could see through the other end .this woman got away with this and she childminds makes you think.i think all pets should be microchipped and may be some sort of registering and nuetering and females done also in cats and dogs. But Tilly most of the pitbulls are from northern Ireland on the border.some drastic needs to be done about this maybe a petition to the house of commons .

Thanks Summer I have pm'd you back hun laugh.

of course they are important issues. however there will be many people dealing/spreading the word about what goes on behind closed doors. I have kids and grankids and I do care deeply about these causes and others.

The reason I chose dogs as a cause is because they have no voice frown so I and many others will continue to speak out for them.

it will work if said owner cares enough to update their details on the chips data base. and I know many don't care enough, thats why there are a lot of dogs in rescue already chipped.

it is important to tell everyone that just because a bleeper doesn't pick up a chip it doesn't mean the dog/cat hasn't got one. Chips can travel anywhere inside the animal. one such case not long ago the microchip was found eventually in the dogs hind leg near the foot.

behaviour will of course not suggest to him at some point in the future he can do the same to an annoying child?

16 weeks for that is not enough, at least he won't have the dog anymore, if the authorities have any sense, they will stop him seeing his kid also. Lets hope there are some dog lovers inside where he's going to give him a good kicking.

God help us,
Come yourself,
Don't send Jesus,
This is no place for children.

that after all that abuse she suffered still did not run away from her owner, who incidentally told police he has given her to a friend and would not reveal who to. mad

Would assume from the inability to supply whereabouts of dog that it's dead and the bodies been dumped!
