Pet hate of mine....Incorrect use of Sections 43 and 44 (44 now being deemed unusable) of the antiterror laws. This is the first time I've heard of it in Merseyside. mad

I took loads of the Echo Arena last year. I hate the way they play on his illness like it should matter, I think this has gotten out of hand a bit.
I was nearly arrested for taking photos in Birkenhead town centre a couple of months ago - I suppose it was fair as it was 10pm.

I don't really know. The security guard alerted the police when he saw me taking photos. They must've incorrectly assumed I was doing it for some kind of robbery, they checked my camera. It's sad the assumption anyone with a camera is doing it because they are planning to rob a place/plant a bomb.
I wasn't doing anything wrong, I had an answer for all their questions, so it's not my problem.

The two police officers asked me if what I was doing was actually legal. I though that was odd, had to say 'Yes, taking photos is legal'.

I might go along and make a point of taking some photographs of the Arena, it is perfectly legal. I laugh at the security guards mentioning they had cctv coverage, I guess they were a couple of IQ zeros not to spot the irony.

Irony indeed! I know people are ultra sensitive but it should not interfere with your personal rights.
