The wrought ironwork in the pics originally came from the stairs of an old house in Wales. When I received (bought) them they were covered in a century of paint - so I had them chemically stripped. I used a dozen or so as the newels in a stairway I rebuilt. The examples in the pics are the few I have left over

Free if anyone can use them for anything - or skip job at the weekend

I bought them from

Tre-beirdd Farm (Mold), Reclaimed Building Materials (and furniture, and ALL sorts of fascinating things). Do not go with a trailer and leave your wallet at home for the first visit or you WILL be tempted

http://www.yell.com/b/Tre_Beirdd+Farm-Salvage+and+Reclamation-Mold-CH71HS-183503/index.html

NOT an easy place to find even with the map because the entrance off the main road initially goes into the grounds of the school next door.

I bought a couple of dozen of these things and then fitted them in place of the newels on the staircase and landing of a house I was helping refurbish. These are just the left overs.

Summer - don't see how you can have anything 18th century and Victorian! Victoria was 1837-1901

Ive a feeling Summer has made the common mistake of calling the 1800's the 18th century, instead of the 19th century.

Sorry Wheels - GONE!

You will have to pay a visit to Tre-Beirdd farm. The chances of them having any more are remote - but I am SURE you will find other goodies
